Just a little bit about us as we begin this ride...

Tale Spinners is an initiative dedicated to providing free fiction to the public.

We are a collaboration of writers, poets, and artists from multiple walks who all have one underlying commonality: we believe in the power of story telling.  Our goal is simple - do what we love, and bring others along for the ride.

In layman's terms, a small coalition of artists and aspiring authors have come together to pump out some great stories --- for free.

A motley crew, always looking for new friends, we are:

Got a tale?

Spin it with us!

Scott Staiti is a writer, wanderer, and genuinely happy guy.  He enjoys chicken wings, craft beer, and his family.  Despite the portrait of easygoing everyman this description no doubt conjures, Scott's laid-back exteriors masks a mind that brews with dark, troubled worlds where heroes are rare, and he obsesses over the lives of fictional characters.  Never far from a book or his trusty laptop, Scott writes everything from detailed fantasy duels to his occasional stabs at the next Great American Short Story.

C. W. loves using her journalism/ hard news background to explore what happens when one mixes steely facts with shimmering fantasy. Her greatest lit influences are Stephen King, Neil Gaimen, Haruku Murakami, Roberto Bolano and her own two dynamic daughters.

Janna Liggan reads when she brushes her teeth and writes in her sleep. She is a professor by day, beer geek by night and writer in between. Janna's poetry and short stories have been published in Plastik Magazine, The Bitchin' Kitsch and Quail Bell, among others and one of her poems was just featured on a tote bag to support the arts in Wales through Made in Roath. She loves the dark in lamplight, folklore and travel and her first novel will come out this year through Quill Publishing. Janna recently moved to NYC with her dogs Bogart and Cagney and her cat Myrna to join her partner Andrew.

Grace Onorato writes literary fiction. She enjoys long naps on the couch and chocolate cake. An avid reader, she never leaves home without a book to read. One of her biggest fears is dying while in the middle of a good book because she won't know how it ends.
